7 Days Gibraltar Gibraltar Flag
6th September 2010

Dear Editor

Thank you Gibraltar for helping us raise £3,076.42 for our Flag Day (thanks Louise for taking a tin to work that day!); thank you the Squash Club, Spinning team for raising £1,900 in your Spinning marathon and thank you Toni Baglietto for raising £1,337 by cutting her lovely, long hair and donating the plait to the Royal Marsden Hospital to go towards making wigs for chemo patients.

This money has gone towards buying the Vacuum System for the new digital mammography unit at St Bernard's Hospital. This equipment will allow our Radiologists to obtain breast core biopsies without surgery.

We must also mention a huge thank you to Ricky Rugeroni for professionally translating our breast awareness leaflet in to Spanish (which we will launch soon), thanks to Laura Saez for her donation of hand-painted fans and welcome to Trevor Hammond as our new trustee.

Our fantastic and fun 'Tickled Pink' Calendars are now on sale for £5 at la Senza, Classic Cuts and 55 and at the Convent Christmas Fair of the 26th November; don't forget to join us on Saturday 28th November at the Cathedral of St Mary the Crowned for our 'Light a Candle Mass' in celebration of those who have survived cancer and in remembrance of those who have not, and on Thursday 17th December join us for mulled wine and 'pan dulce' at the Piazza.

May we take this opportunity to thank you all for all your fabulous support, help and donations throughout 2009.
