Swine Flu Vaccines start to arrive in GIbraltar

The Government has now received the first batch of Swine Flu Vaccines, and accordingly, as previously stated will now make public details of its vaccination programme and an accompanying detailed statement of information and guidance. This will occur on Wednesday of next week. Vaccination is at the option of citizen. Batches of vaccine will now arrive on a monthly basis until March. The Government has purchased enough vaccine for the whole of the population.

At a meeting held during the week at No 6 Convent Place attended by the Chief Minister, Peter Caruana, the Health Minister, Yvette del Agua, the Chief Secretary, Richard Garcia, the Deputy Chief Executive of the Gibraltar Health Authority, Joe Catania and Director of Public Health, Vijay Kumar, the vaccination plan was given its final review to bring it right up to date with the latest information and health advice.
